My daughter and her friend initially wanted to make salty lemonade to give to dad when he got home from work. Then they decided to make the joke bigger by creating a lemonade stand on the corner of a busy street. They offered it free to try to get more customers (and so they wouldn't feel so bad if they charged people for the experience). They asked people to taste their new recipe and tell them what they thought. After drinking the lemonade they were told "April Fools" and given a piece of candy to help them get the taste out of their mouth.
They tricked about 16 people total, including their dads once they came home.
